District Doda Observes National Dengue Day 2025 with Awareness Programmes Across Medical Blocks*

 Under the guidance of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Ab Hamid Zargar, and State Malariologist NVBDCP J&K, Dr. D.J. Raina, National Dengue Day 2025 was observed across all medical blocks of District Doda. The theme for this year’s observance was "Check, Clean, Cover: Steps to Defeat Dengue."

In District Doda, the awareness programmes were conducted under the overall supervision of Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr. Om Kumar. The main event was held at Government ANMT School Doda, where the District Malaria Unit Doda organized an awareness session to educate students on the significance of the day and preventive measures against dengue.

A similar awareness programme was held at Block Headquarters Assar under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Assar, Dr. Syed Mohd Ismail and Block Hqr Gandoh under the supervision of Dr Farooq Saleem, BMO Gandoh. 

Additional awareness sessions were also conducted at PHC Bhagwah, PHC Assar, CHC Gandoh and AAM Sub Centre Dharwari and other health centres, where health staff delivered informative lectures to the general public, focusing on dengue symptoms, precautions, and available treatment options.

IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) material related to dengue prevention was also distributed among the public to enhance community awareness and encourage proactive measures
