BOVINE SMUGGLING BID FOILED BY DODA POLICE,  FOUR BOVINE RESCUED, ACCUSED ARRESTED, VEHICLE SEIZED

Doda:- 21st  June -2025. 

Continuing its efforts against bovine smuggling, today, a Naka for checking of vehicles was established at Pul Doda by police party of Police post Pul Doda headed by IC PP Pul Doda, under the supervision of  DySP Hqrs Doda and SHO PS Doda. A Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK06B-1637 was signaled to stop, During Search of the vehicle  04 bovine were found loaded in the vehicle without water and food arrangements. These bovine were being transported illegally without valid permission from the competent authority and in cruel manner. The accused driver namely Raiz Ahmed S/o Wali Mohd R/o Ghat Doda arrested on the spot and vehicle has been seized. In this regard FIR No. 147/2025 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA was registered at PS Doda and investigation is in progress.

*SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS* commended the alertness of the police team and emphasized that Doda Police is fully committed to upholding the law and maintaining strict vigilance in the areas to curb illegal activities like bovine smuggling etc.
